Proposing a new rule on titles for community feedback

6.) Use high quality titles

Titles should be informative and accurately describe the content you are submitting.

Submission titles that have…

  • emojis
  • unnecessary clickbait
  • excessive use of caps lock or punctuation marks
  • overly biased/sensationalized comments
  • claims that 'news source' is fake news

…may be removed. You can then resubmit the post with a high quality title.

Repeatedly posting low effort titles may result in a temporary ban.

There have been a few complaints about titles recently and it would be good to have this rule in place as the subreddit continues to grow.

This hasn't been much of a problem, but it could help promote higher quality posts with better discussions since a large portion of redditors form their opinions based on the title alone.

Let us know what you think about the rule and if there are any changes you would make. If the majority of the community agrees it would be useful then it will be added to the subreddit rules.

Feel free to post any additional subreddit feedback you have also. Just try to keep it constructive and civil.
